The European Endometriosis League (EEL) has two main goals. Our aim is to extend public awareness and support scientific research in the field of Endometriosis and other co-existing gynecological conditions.
To achieve these goals, we have built a European board of medical experts on Endometriosis (EEIC: European Endometriosis Information Center).
Furthermore, we are conducting scientific meetings, seminars, educational programmes, congresses, research projects and serve as a frame for patient self-support groups.
The results of our research projects are published in scientific journals and thus brought to the public’s attention.
Renowned physicians founded the EEL in 2005. So far we are active in several different European countries and are currently extending our activities into additional countries.
The EEL is supported and financed through membership fees, donations and an advisory board of the medical industry.

Elif Goknur Topcu MD |
Elif Goknur Topcu, MD is a specialist in the Obstetrics & Gynaecology department. After finishing Marmara University School of Medicine, she got her specialty training in the University of Health Science K.S.S. Training and Research Hospital, Istanbul, Turkey. She spent around a year at the University of Maryland Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences as visiting instructor. She has been part of the Turkish Endometriosis & Adenomyosis Association since 2017 and has been an active member of the European Endometriosis League Young Team since 2019. Her main interests are postgraduate training and continuing education. |
Ezgi Darici MD |
Ezgi Darici, MD is a resident of Obstetrics & Gynecology. She got her medical degree at Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty and working as a resident doctor at the University of Health Science Zeynep Kamil Women's and Children's Disease Training and Research Hospital, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Istanbul in Turkey since 2016. She is a crew member of the Endometriosis & Adenomyosis Society, Turkey since 2017 and an active member of the European Endometriosis League since 2018. Her main interest areas are endometriosis and reproductive endocrinology. |
Alin Stefan Constantin MD |
Alin Stefan Constantin graduated as a medical doctor from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" Bucharest, Romania in 2007. He started his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the National Institute for Maternal and Child Health "Alessandrescu-Rusescu" in Bucharest, which he continued in the Aschaffenburg Hospital in Bavaria and then in Nordwest Hospital in Frankfurt am Main in Germany. His main interests are ultrasound diagnostic and surgery of deep endometriosis. |
Ioannis Vlachodimitris MD |
Ioannis Vlachodimitris was born in Athens, Greece in 1985. He graduated the Medical School of Athens University in 2004. After his studies he did his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Germany in Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of University of Bochum in Klinikum Minden. Since 2017 is working as Consultant of Obstetrics and Gynecology and since 2019 is working in Evangelisches Krankenhaus BETHESDA in Duisburg Germany as Consultant of Endometriosis and Gynecological Oncology Center as well. |
Andrea Noppe MD |
Andrea Noppe, MD was born in Germany 1987. She got her medical degree at Friedrich-Schiller University of Jena, Germany in 2013. She started her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Rems-Murr Clinic of Schorndorf and continued at the Clinic for gynecology and obstetrics, Clinics in Boeblingen in which she is presently working as a consultant. Her main interests are endometriosis and endoscopic and minimally invasive surgery. |
